My Philosophy
I believe that our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal themselves. Our body's sole purpose is to keep us functioning optimally. However, we need to make a conscious effort to promote this ability. We MUST make time for self care. Self care needs to be integrated into your daily routine. Being healthy and feeling good is a lifestyle CHOICE! Decide to make that choice today.
Luckily, self care tends to be enjoyable. Everyone needs different forms of self-care, and here is a list of examples:
Stretching areas that are prone to tightness
Strengthening weak areas
Yoga, which stretches and strengthens in a balanced way
Aerobic exercise to promote circulation and reduce stress
Meditation, which brings you into the parasympathetic state that is necessarily for healing
Nutrition, eating according to the seasons and your body's own special needs
Seeing a professional when you need them: licensed acupuncturist, MD, chiropractor, naturopath, reiki master, psychotherapist, massage therapist, etc. Go to Vital's website for a list of our amazing practitioners.
Being aware of your posture and your breathing
Deep breathing throughout the day
